Didn't work

Okay Heather ........it didn't work I don't have a new background I just don't have any at all! (smile) Oh well maybe next time.



I wish I knew what to say after all this time...where has the time gone? It seems that we spent a lot of time going to watch Savannah play basketball and then as soon as she ended that she started softball and that was equally as fun if not more because it was outside and warm well I say warm there were a few games that I sat curled up in a blanket but that is just me (the rest of them froze and tried to act tough) Summer is here and I am loving it! getting outdoors as much as possible. Our garden is over come with grass we have had soooo much rain this spring. We are getting a lot of ripe tomatoes all of a sudden and a cucumber about a foot long today it is a burpless one and it sure was good.



I have a date with Ashton to go for a walk in the "forest" (thats what he calls our trees in our backyard) the next time he comes here during daylight. He thinks that there are bears and lions out there and I want to show him that there are not.



We have a family BBQ planned for Saturday. We hope to play frisbe golf and other outdoor games and cook and eat outside and shoot off some fireworks. Looking for a fun time.



Our convention is a week away and I can't wait! Looking forward to a great time in the Lord and fellowship with His people. tata for now.

Disclaimer,
I know that people remember different things differently and especially about their childhood. So brothers and sisters if I remember things a little different than you do feel free to add your version of the incident and we'll laugh some more. I won't change mine but, will hear yours...lol

My childhood was the most fun. Maybe because I was a free spirit and never allowed negative things to take root in my life and thoughts. Some may call that "burying their head in the sand" but whatever it was I had a great childhood.

It all started when......my mama and daddy separated and mama and the five oldest of us kids moved in with her parents grandma and grandpa Proctor.

I was six years old , though I do remember a lot of things about my childhood before that ,nothing seemed so dramatic or significant about my life until this BIG transition that was to shape the rest of my life and make me what and who I am today. The only significant thing about my life before that was that I had bonded with my dad and all of a sudden he was gone.............something I never wish for any child. So here goes........... It must have been in the summer between my first and second grade years at school because I went to first at Pryor and the second I started at Strang.

I can't even imagine what it was like for my grandparents for us to move in with them, they had a two room house with a screened in porch across the front of it and no indoor plumbing. the front room which was a combination of living room, bedroom and closet and had a big coal stove right in the middle of it (served as sort of a divider I suppose) and the back room was the kitchen and dining room combined and a small daybed was also placed in the very north end of it for the boys to sleep in.

My grandma was very clean and organized and "in charge" and that was probably the only reason that she kept her sanity and she had her work cut out for her. Grandpa was a blacksmith with his own shop downtown (in a town of about 200 people). He immediately got to work on transforming half of that screened in porch into a small bedroom for my mom and oldest sister. My younger sister and I slept on a couch that made into a bed in the front room which was also my grandparents bedroom........lol

My grandparents sacrificed a lot for us and never complained or even acted like there was anything unusual about it. God Bless them!

WOW

Wow I haven't been on this blog for such a long time. The last time I was on here I tried to change my wallpaper and blogger wasn't cooperating so I gave up.......anybody out there? if so let me know.
I don't know where to start to catch up Jayce is twice 6lbs now and Ty too and so much fun.
Savannah is playing basketball and so that is just another activity to keep us busy and she is doing great and loves it it is so fun to watch the kids play.

Dalton has had his sixteenth birthday and is a ps3 freak...........lol

I guess you can tell that my life is full with grandkids.

We have two new couples coming to church right now and are happy about that. God is blessing.
We are having a Christmas program this next Sunday morning called "God's Gift" and then lunch at the church and an afternoon service and then dismissed for the day if anyone is in the neighborhood feel free to stop by and fellowship with us.

I want to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jayce Coleton Cabales

born on September 17th at 10:59 a.m. and weighed in at 6lbs and 1.8oz and clearly a cutie we love him already.

Ashton is already taking the big brother role of loving and caring for his baby brother , he wanted to take him home as soon as he was born.

The Lord has clearly blessed us with precious little ones that we intend to love and nurture and teach the ways of the Lord.

I finually got a picture of Mr. Tyler Cayden Hays to download on my blog wooo hooo We're so proud of him and he has grown so much and I wanted to take some more pictures of him but I wanted to show what he looked like when he was smaller first.

I know that this is old news because most anyone that would read my blog has probably already seen Ty in person or on LeAnndra's blog but anyway I am proud of him and wanted to brag a little anyway........lol

I know I haven't blogged in a while and it seems like there is still nothing to say what a boring life........lol we just haven't done much we get up in the morning and decide what we need from town and plan our daily trip to walmart and to eat lunch does anyone else have trouble finding things to fix for lunch? it is the hardest meal for me the rest seems so easy but lunch is so hard for me.

I can think of a lot of things but can't seem to eat them or I don't seem to have all the ingredients for them so we just give up and go to town I don't know what we will do when the grass quits growing and Slug doesn't have that to occupy him..........lol probably take lots of short trips.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch the General Assembly on the web this is the first year since 1995 that we have missed going so getting to watch on the web has been soooo great!

It was almost like being there I have not missed but one session so far and it has been so good.

Some summer events

Okay to begin with I have had the hardest time trying to post these pictures I don't know if it was blogger, my computer or my ability to use a computer...........but it has took days and my computer has threatened to shut down completely but finally here we are except for one picture and I will try again or maybe on another post. Picture above is of some of the tomatoes and beets that I was able to can this summer. Summer is swiftly passing. School starts here next week and the General Assembly is only a month away. I love fall but I dread winter so that puts a damper on fall to me.

Isaac looks a little ornery in this photo however I wonder what Savannah and Aleah were up to behind him.............hmmmm.

Maybe this one will give a clue.......................lol

Savannah is playing with Lillie. I hope they all enjoyed their visit as much as we did.

We also added another member to our family on July 28th, another boy, Tyler Cayden Hays. We are so blessed!

I tried soooo hard to get a picture of Ty and Ashton but it just wasn't going to happen so maybe next post.

UPDATE

Well this is old news but we did find a "burro" at Arizona however we didn't find the origional taste that we once had out there. this is one of the scenes that we found it is at Clifton-Morenci area , a couple of mining twin towns that are built on hills and are so neat.

We went up to Pinal mountain (tho not all the way to the top) , we went to Roosevelt Lake and couldn't get down to it like we used to. We also went to some indian ruins that were very neat. It was funny that they were right by where we used to live and we never knew that they were there.

Tammy got sick so they weren't able to come and meet with us after all so we enjoyed it all by ourselves and it was very interesting and fun. We would have rather they were able to come and see it but maybe next time. After we was home for about a week we left to go to Colo. to pick up Jamey and the kids and bring them here and Arkansas for a 2-week visit . We took them to Ar. on our way to our regional convention and they were able to be at most of the convention as well. It was great. Her parents will bring her here this next Sunday and we will either take her back home or Dustin will come here and pick her up depends on when little Ty decides to come or the Doc decides that it is time and helps it along.

In the meantime I am resting and enjoying my home. I was able to can some pickled beets tonight. I hope they turn out okay.

Well I will close this out and get to bed so I can meet tomorrows task with renewed energy..........lol good night all.
